Points races left: 4

We sent the month of August out with some more exciting races, and ended the night with some good old sweet corn.

Once again we ran the kart program straight through with Derek Sterward winning the adult cage, Tyler Musselman in rookie blue, Ron Hovenstine in Heavy, Sierra Spencer in kid kart, Casey Steinhoff in rookie purple and Vinnie Williamson in juniors.  It's always good to see some of our regulars from past years come back to visit.  Glad to see the night went well for you Derek and Vinnie.

The top 5 finishers in the mini micro division were Dan Roberts over Cliff Loss, John VanBuskirk, Dave Roberts and Chris Warnig.

A fimiliar face was back in the pictures as Jess Miller claimed victory over Joe Lusk, Mason Peters, Denny Faus and Dewey Gearhart.

One youngster that seems to have found the handle on things is Rusty Crone bringing home the field of rookie micro drivers over Dink Piatt, JT Brotosky, Rachel Godusky and Mike Walter Jr.

When it came time for the regulars to attack the track, Derrick Bowersox had one thing in mind, "I got a long way to the front!"  After starting in the last row in 23rd, when the green dropped so did Bowersox hammer.  He was able to claim over half the field and earn this weeks hard charger award for passing 14 cars and finishing 9th.  It was Sean Stolz who brought the guys across the line with Mike Schuckers, Kyle Reinhardt, John Rechel and Robbie Watson for your top 5.

Last but not least it was once again time for the 600's to have their turn, Stolz climbed out of his 270 and strapped himself into his 600 with an outside pole sitting position.  With the green flag waving Shelby Harper started the race and finished in a well earned 2nd place behind Sean Stolz who made it a double header for the night.  Jake Starr who started 13th, made his way to the front not only claiming 3rd, but also the hard charger of the race.  Coming home 4th and 5th were Jason VanDoren and David Reinhardt for the final top 5 of the evening.

Be sure to join us next week for the Damion Adams Memorial Race with added prize money being put up by the Adams family.  Nicole will have the info posted on microracing.com!

See you all next week at the Action Tracks for another fun filled family entertainment night of racing!
